To make sense of complicated feelings from past relationships, I wrote Verdict from the perspective of who I thought was in the wrong. Later, I realized most of what I wrote could also be said about myself, and that one person is hardly ever completely in the right. Lyrics are the spotlight in Verdict, but the acoustic heart and dynamic synth-rock elements truly tell the story.
